It’s been a while since we have posted an update and there have been some significant, behind the scenes milestones including much of the engineering work and planning by Arro Consulting Inc.
This week, the Borough of Royersford published the Trestle Bridge Rehabilitation Project bid notification. All construction bids are due by 10am on June 9, so visible progress on the beloved trestle is imminent!
“Royersford Borough is excited that the Trestle Bridge Rehabilitation Project is now out to bid with construction beginning this summer.,” said Royersford Borough Manager Donna Ziegler. “This project will produce a scenic and safe connection off of the Schuylkill River Trail into Royersford Borough.”

From the beginning this project has been a collaborative effort, and along with the planned improvements with the Riverfront at Royersford, is certain to positively change the community and region.
Ziegler adds, “We are looking forward to the upcoming rehabilitation of the trestle bridge, as it will enhance our active transportation in the community and restore a valued historic feature.”
