Save The Trestle Grant Application. Royersford, Pennsylvania

An exciting update on the trestle project
Royersford Borough council recently voted unanimously to support the pursuit of a $3,000,000 grant through the Department of Community & Economic Development. Shelby Richmond from Arro Consulting is preparing the final grant application with the help and support of many on the steering committee. These funds would be used for the rehabilitation, re-decking and construction efforts to open the trail connection in 2019 and the Borough of Royersford will serve as the trail operator.

Thank you all for your efforts and for all who took the time to submit letters of support – these are very important to accompany the application later this month.

This unique grant requires no match by the applicant and the trestle project appears to be a perfect fit. Once the application is submitted, efforts will turn toward finalizing design to ensure we are prepared for the 2019 construction season should the borough be awarded the grant.

This expedited timeline is possible only due to the efforts of the entire steering committee and the great support of the public and local business community.

Please continue to spread the word and help raise money which will be used for the final stretch of the feasibility study as well as engineering and design expenses. Like us on Facebook and be on the lookout for another meeting in the early fall.

Thank you

Sincerely,

Save The Trestle Grant Application. Royersford, Pennsylvania
